Method
Take a load of slices of buttered toast - e.g. 11 (to avoid a boring 50-50 cop-out) - and throw them, one at a time, off the plinth - the taller side will be more exciting. Then have someone on the ground report back whether the toast landed buttered side up or down. Easy.
Result type: The percentage of slices of toast that land butter-side down when thrown from the plinth
Estimated minutes taken: 2
Possible during bad weather: yes

What kind of bread are you going to use? Does this work better for Mighty White than a fresh organic granary loaf, which may have less consistent density?
I was thinking of getting the cheapest, nastiest bread around in order to avoid wasting the good stuff by chucking it on the ground :)
