Testing, testing

1.5m by 4.2m. That’s the size of the top of the plinth, according to the booklet we plinthers are sent in our information packs. All very interesting as numbers, but pretty hard to get a true understanding of in terms of the actual physical space I’ll have available to me during my hour.

So this afternoon I measured and marked it out in the back garden and put some of my stuff on it to see how it seemed for space. My wife Edith took a photo:

Fortunately, it was big enough for my needs. It’s a bit longer than I expected, but quite narrow, which matches the experiences I’ve heard from others about it being a lot narrower than they’d expected.

Anyway, it looks promising!

Now I’m printing off some little PlinthiPaul.co.uk fliers to hand out around the base of the plinth tomorrow evening soon after 6pm. Come and help – or just come to the event later in the evening – if you can!
